Visy paper mill shut work including:

• Replacement of valves and routine inspections
• Replacement of gearbox and bearings
• Routine maintenance inspections

Lake Cowal mine work including:

• Structural steel repairs
• Maintenance
• Conveyer roller replacements
• Repairs and replacing of trash screens and shaker screens

• Maintenance on abattoir equipment
• Fabrication of stainless steel conveyor belts and tables
• Maintenance and repairs on yards and buildings.

• Maintenance of paving & Batch Plant equipment
• Pan changes and set ups
• Fabrication of new paving parts and side forms
• Hard facing of auger parts

• Completing 4th year (practical work only) trade apprenticeship as a Boilermaker.
• Completing all tasks listed below while working under the direction of trade qualified boilermakers:

• Completing trade apprenticeship as a Boilermaker.
• Undertaking TAFE theory work and applying it within the workplace.
• Completing all tasks listed below while working under the direction of trade qualified boilermakers and supervisors:
• Welding – aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel using Mig and Stick welders.
• Heavy steel fabrication.
• Bridge rail fabrication, pedestrian rail fabrication, folding bridge cover plates and fabrication of hot dip galvanising tanks.
• Break press, guillotines and pipe bending.
• Maintenance and repair work.
• Programming and operating CNC mills and machinery.
• Hard facing of earthmoving equipment.
