  • While never wanting to pursue butchering as a career, I found myself excited at the opportunity it gave me to learn all the different cuts of meat and how to properly cook them.
  • This line of work also allowed me to wake early and work multiple 12 hour shifts a week with no qualifications, ultimately leading to 50-60 hour work weeks.
  • This job allowed me to see past the fact that despite not always feeling motivated to work, I had a duty to do what was expected of me regardless of my emotions and how I felt.
  • The biggest skill achieved from this work was learning how to hold diligent, educated and informative conversations with people I had never met, leading to a comforting shopping experience and wanting to return for the customer.
