  • Undertake Palliative Care Link Nurse duties including:
  • Providing clinical leadership for other staff in workplace in regards to palliative care
  • Act as a point of liaison with the Specialist Palliative Care Nurses
  • Provide informed input into polices and procedures governing the delivery of palliative care
  • Assist in the delivery of the following direct care activities as allocated by a Registered Nurse
  • Showering, bathing, sponging, hair washing, shaving, mouth and denture care, eye and ear care
  • Repositioning, pressure area and skin care
  • Assistance with toileting, provision, removal and cleaning in bed pans and urinals
  • General ward amputation and support mobilisation as per plan of care
