Summary

Currently employed as a General Aide Teacher Aide as well as an Indigenous Support Aide in a Queensland State Primary School. Immediately prior to this I spent almost three years as an Education Support trainer and assessor providing high level support, motivation and guidance to an array of teen and adult learners as they undertook their study journey. This also included school-based trainees and learners from diverse backgrounds with various additional needs. Previously, having worked with children in education and care for over 30 years, I have had extensive involvement across a variety of settings, with 15 years' experience as a Teacher Aide myself, and have actively worked toward ensuring that all children are provided with an array of experiences affording them the best possible opportunity to reach their full potential across all curriculum and developmental areas. I have confidently worked individually, as a member of a team, and have led teams myself. Additionally, I have played a significant role in mentoring fellow colleagues and Teacher Aide students both with their studies and with developing the practical skills necessary for their workplace duties, as well as having been a member of the Workplace Health and Safety Committee, and a member of the school's LCC, Local Consultative Committee. At all times, I've approached my job requirements with a high level of commitment, passion, strong motivation and dedication to all tasks undertaken. Industrious educator with solid history of successfully stepping into diverse classroom environments and supporting students with solid lectures, discussions and activities. Implement intervention strategies and discipline management techniques to enhance student success. Trained in attendance, assessment and grading requirements.
