As a passionate advocate of skincare, I thoroughly enjoy investing in high-quality skincare products. My knowledge of skincare and understanding of my own skin has been acquired through personal experiences with various products. From encountering negative reactions to achieving my goal of radiant, glass-like skin, I have navigated through it all and gained valuable insights along the way. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to embark on my skincare journey during my early 20s, allowing me to embrace the learning curve. Not only do I find immense joy in caring for my own skin, but I also make an effort to encourage my peers to prioritize skincare and develop a skincare routine of their own. In the midst of the Covid era, a time when individuals began embracing self-care practices at home, I unexpectedly started receiving requests from acquaintances and even friends of friends seeking guidance on starting a skincare routine. This experience made me realize that there are individuals who genuinely desire to care for their skin but simply lack the knowledge of where to begin. It puzzled me as to why they turned to me, considering the abundance of resources and information readily available on the internet, including the insights shared by skincare bloggers who openly discuss their personal experiences. In search of the solution, I have created the following problem statement, “The problem here is, help adults who are new to skincare, kickstart their skincare routine. We have reasons to believe that existing services/products aren’t meeting our goals as they are often linked to a specific brand or product, and are causing confusion and bias, in turn leading them to hoard products and overspend. This doesn't help adults who are seeking to start their skincare journey. How might we create a product so that our customers are successful in meeting their budget, follow their routine and make it a habit.
