Summary

I completed my New Grad year at Bulli district hospital in the geriatric ward and then the rehab ward which has since moved back to Wollongong hospital.

I have expanded my responsibilities since my new grad role and have been taking in charge of ward shifts regularly for the past 11 months.

Although our ward is considered sub acute, we regularly have acute patients in which I have been involved in the Tier system regularly and also in Code blue whilst on the ward.

I believe the year post my new grad has allowed me more experience in deterioration of patients and acuity of the patients with whom we care for.
