  • Greeting and arriving multiple customers daily for their eye test appointments. Customer assistance is provided promptly and politely in person and via telephone.
  • This process also involves contacting Medicare and DVA for bulk-billing availability.
  • I perform many pre-test health screenings, visual field tests, contact lens application and removal teaching sessions.
  • I can operate a TOPCON Maestro 2 (OCT) machine, NIDEK Tonoref III and ZEISS Humphrey Field Analyzer 3 Visual Field Machine extremely confidently to collect relevant health information to be processed by the Optometrists.
  • Dispensing single vision, multifocal and bifocal frames. As well as high-index and prism prescriptions. All while considering the customer's individual measurements and day-to-day usages of the frame to make their glasses unique for them.
  • Using POS system to process glasses, contact lenses and repair sales. Using a HICAPS machine to take payment and make health insurance claims from many different private health funds.
  • Stocking merchandise, clearly labelling and organising frames, to be arranged according to price, brand, gender and colour. My knowledge of face shape, frame style, frame pricing and floor stock allows me to make time-efficient but accurate frame recommendations to meet people's specific needs.
  • Cleaning and organising the shop floor each shift, preparing daily banking, and settling HICAPS machines.
  • Handling returns and exchanges professionally, adhering to company policies while prioritizing customer satisfaction. As well as cleaning and repairing damaged frames.
