Summary

I am a dedicated physiotherapy student with a passion for promoting patient well-being through evidence-based care and rehabilitation. As I approach completion of my degree, I am eager to apply academic knowledge and hands-on clinical experience to contribute effectively to a dynamic healthcare team, fostering positive patient outcomes and enhancing patient quality of life. I am currently in my 4thyear of a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, being undertaken at the University of Canberra. I have an intended graduation date of December 2024.

External to university, I am a serving member of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). I joined the RAN in 2014 as a Cryptologic systems sailor and have worked for the last 10 years as a Technical Signals Analyst within the RAN and Australian Signals Directorate (ASD). Throughout my naval career, I have employed my abilities in verbal and written communication, problem solving, adaptability and collaboration to achieve a high level of personal and organisational performance.

Outside of work and academia, I am a dedicated runner with hopes of representing the ACT at the cross country and half marathon National championships.

As a team leader, I conducted stakeholder engagement in order to communicate the capabilities and limitations my team encounter when producing time-sensitive intelligence products in response to Requests for Information (RFI). This role also requires me to utilise project management software to co-ordinate, delegate and track workflows as well as production outputs. I am also responsible for providing junior Technical Signal Sailors with ongoing performance and administrative management, biannual performance reviews and goal setting guidance.

Tasks achieved while in this position:

• Exploitation of technologies to deliver foreign signals intelligence outcomes

• Analyse, compile and disseminate intelligence reporting to stakeholders within the National Intelligence Community

• Collaboration with key stakeholders: Regional Collection Management, HQJOC & DIO, to communicate team capabilities and limitations

• Request for Information (RFI) Manager: responsible for managing RFI the process for intelligence information, categorising and determining the validity of request, considering national security and classification considerations, preparing RFI response documentation and maintaining the audit trail within the RFI repositories

• Facilitate and management the professional and personal development of junior team members

• Development of workflow processes for the prioritisation, delegation and tracking of work outputs within the team

• Facilitate and support international multi-agency intelligence missions

Junior Technical Signals Analyst

While employed at RANTEWSS, my primary role was to deploy onboard RAN vessels in support whole of government intelligence priorities. While deployed it was my role to act as the conduit between deployed intelligence platforms and Australian intelligence agencies. I was also responsible for operating technological equipment for the interception and analysis of foreign data transmissions.

Tasks achieved while in this position:

• Deployed onboard HMA Ships Melbourne, Sirius and Arunta as part of a Naval Intelligence team

• Operated technological equipment for the interception and analysis of data transmissions in support of whole of government intelligence priorities

• Selected to participate in the development and testing phase of emerging Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) equipment for future application within the RAN

• Delivery of verbal and written fortnightly Command Update briefs

• Performed the role of Deputy Communications Security Officer (COMSO) while onboard HMAS Arunta. As the COMSO it was my responsibility to induct personnel into the intelligence framework by delivering necessary security briefings.

• Trained how to operate and produce accurate signals intelligence reports in high pressure environments with strict and short deadlines

• Developed a sound understanding on the application of key Government policies such as the Intelligence Services Act 2001 & Telecommunications Act 1979

• Completed Electromagnetic spectrum theory studies

• Completed base level coding studies as applied to intelligence analysis
