Contractual Compliance
- Delivering and overseeing of commercial requirements nationally (WA, NSW, ACT, QLD, SA and NT) for $150 million dollar a year project across 10+ programs all requiring varying contractual obligations
- Overseeing the delivery of approximately 1200 tickets a month from practical completion through to final Client claims as well as subcontractor claim reviews through to payments
- Maintaining project registers for delays and variations, ensuring comprehensive client claims.
- Ensuring internal stakeholders and processes are adhering to contractual obligations
- Minimising potential disputes by ensuring consistent documentation of all contract-related activities and timely resolution of any issues.
Financial Management and Reporting
- Managing of monthly cash flow forecasting
- Regular review of cost v revenue both to advise on singular tickets as well as the overall financial health of the project
- Reconciliations of costs and revenue where required to maximise margins
- Various ad hoc cost reporting as requested by senior management
Contract initiation and closeout
- Negotiating and issuing contracts and schedule of rates to subcontractors
- Final Client claim submissions
- Final subcontractor retention releases and Deeds of Release
- Close out of Business Units
Quoting and Variations
- Implemented processes and documentation to mitigate and manage financial risks in regional travel.
- Quoting regional travel to client and reviewing and approving regional travel quotes and final claims from subcontractors.
- High-cost variation requests and provisional sum requests to Client
Team Management
- Day-to-day management of a team of six to ensure the deliverables are met with accuracy while ensuring high levels of autonomy, collaboration and engagement within the team
- Recruitment and training of new team employees
- Responsible for employee engagement, performance and development
- Creation and ongoing promotion of a psychologically safe team, where collaboration is fostered
- Improved productivity by coaching team members on process and procedure efficiency.
Relationship Management
- Regular interactions with all internal stakeholders including completion and design teams, project teams and senior management as well as external stakeholders with multiple Client teams and 300 plus subcontractors nationwide.
- Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Process Improvement and Data Management
- Regular problem solving, requiring analytical skills and ability to make decisions
- Continual review of processes, implementing new ones or enhancing existing as business or Client requirements change to ensure continued contractual compliance and minimise risk.
- Extensive use of Excel to manage data modelling between systems and for reporting purposes
- Regularly maintaining and updating information databases to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs and claims.
