A highly motivate and hard-working 18 year old student, with exceptional EQ. I have experience volunteering, working at events, and selling and would make a valuable contribution to any team. I can follow instructions, am organised, reliable and punctual.
· The MJs is a group of local Malvern women who run various fundraising events to support different causes such as a women's refuge, a school for children with disability, emergency food parcels, and medical equipment for hospitals in need
· My role with the group over several years has included:
o Selling raffle tickets and other fundraising items
o Waitressing
o Setting up and cleaning up
o Preparing and serving food
On occasion, I have been paid to waitress at private functions including preparation, passing around food, keeping the kitchen tidy and helping with the clean up.
· Based in East Malvern Melbourne, Avalon supports marginalised members of the community, mostly the homeless but also asylum seekers, people with a disability or others in need
· The main function of Avalon is collecting donated clothes, shoes, bedding and toiletries to be distributed to these groups
· In my nine years with Avalon, I
o Sort, fold and pack clothes
o Make up toiletry packs
o Go out on the bus through the Melbourne CBD on a Sunday night to distribute these much-needed items to the homeless – engaging them in friendly conversation, establishing what they need and locating appropriate items as best I can
Kola Kids is a charity supporting children with cancer. I waitressed at one of their high-profile events (it made the social pages of the paper).
