Gaining hands-on experience in environmental health practices and regulations, including compliance with the Food Act 2003, Food Regulation 2015, Public Health Act 2010, Local Government Act 2010, and Protection of the Environmental Operations Act (POEO Act 1997):

• Conducting inspections of food premises and temporary food premises in accordance with the Food Act 2003.
• Performing cooling tower inspections as per the Public Health Act 2010 (PHA).
• Inspecting skin penetration premises in compliance with the PHA and Public Health Regulation 2012 (PHR).

• Reviewing development applications and providing advice on environmental and public health factors, including new food premises, food trucks, and modifications to existing establishments.
• Collaborating on various projects with the Environmental Health Team to support broader organizational goals.
