- Ensuring that the SQE Integrated Management System of Ishima is established, efficiently implemented, maintained and understood by shore-based and shipboard staff;
- Providing leadership and directions to the HSQE team;

- Establishing Health, Safety Quality, Environment and Energy Efficiency policies and annual plan for the organization;
- Providing advice to the Directors and Heads of Department to ensure that the Integrated Management System for the Company have successfully implemented and adhered to;
- Maintaining contacts with Authorities and Bodies regarding the safety, quality and environmental protection aspects. Negotiating with external stakeholders such as agencies and statutory bodies to ensure that all aspects of health, safety, quality, environment and energy efficiency meet the expected compliance;

- Investigating reported non conformities with Directors / Heads of department, ship masters and superintendents, as applicable;
- Participating in the Emergency Group Ashore;
- Involvement in the selection of the four senior officers;
- Providing direction for vetting activity within the organization;
- Dealing with Oil Majors and coordinating all the activities related to the preparation and management of the Vetting Inspection;
- Approving, reviewing and following the Security Plan of Vessels.

- Providing a link between Company and the onboard personnel, reports to Top Executives and co-operates with the other Directors and vessel (marine/technical) superintendents;
- Undertakimg responsibilities to fulfill the ISM Code requirements for the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and covers the roles of DMR (Designated SQE Management Representative for ISO), CSO.

- Coordinating Vetting Inspections according to Operators / Charterers / Owners' requirements;
- Coordinating with all vessels and Technical Managers their readiness in order to conduct vetting/terminal Inspections with zero or minimum number of observations;
- Preparing and maintaining updated the necessary documentations according to Operators / Charterers / Owners' requirements for a safe employment of the vessels (Q88, OCIMF, SIRE reports etc.);
