Summary

I am fortunate to have grown up on my family farm, working with livestock, and having a great love for horsemanship. I have always had a passion for performance arts such as competing in dance competitions, singing lessons, and theatre. I have also had great success in athletics and AFL which have both provided me opportunities to compete at a national level. These broad experiences give me an excellent insight into most aspects of our school community.

Work History

Coaching Assistant

Murray Bushrangers
Wangaratta, VIC
  • I assisted the Murray Bushrangers Head Coach in organizing and running training sessions with the U12 girls' NAB AFL program. This included running the warm-up and providing support to the players, by helping them improve their skills. I provided positive feedback and advice to players throughout the session, and helped organize and set up equipment for various drills.
  • I also assisted in the NAB AFL U14's boys testing day. This involved the testing of 190 players through various fitness and football activities. Tasks included explaining and demonstrating how to do the test to the players, then monitoring and recording their results. This was a great opportunity to gain insight into coaching and ways to effectively work with children.

Assistant Dance Teacher

St. Paul's College
Walla Walla, NSW
  • For the 2024 Debutante Ball, I assisted Glen Strauss with the after-school rehearsals.
  • I worked with Glen, demonstrating dances to the students.
  • Assisted with the teaching of dances.
  • Provided feedback and help to students struggling with the steps.
  • Assisted in monitoring progress of dances and students.
  • Provided support and encouragement to students.
  • Partnered students in rehearsals who didn't have a partner or needed guidance.
  • I really enjoyed assisting with the preparation for the Debutante Ball, and I would be willing to assist Glen and the students for the 2025 Ball. As well as assisting with the planning and organising of the ball.

Assistant Dance Instructor

Fever Dance Studio
Holbrook, NSW
  • In previous years, I assisted the instructor of Fever Dance Studio when they were holding classes at St. Joseph's Primary, Culcairn. This involved encouraging students when learning new dances and also providing support to ensure they were having fun and feeling confident.

Work Experience

OSO
Table Top, NSW
  • I spent a week at OSO Arabians, completing my year 11 work experience. While I was there, I completed various tasks such as catching, rugging, feeding, and washing multiple horses daily. I was also fortunate enough, due to previous experience, to ride and train their horses. This involved being assigned a horse to ride daily for fitness training for upcoming endurance events.
  • At the conclusion of my work experience, I was commended for my hard work and riding abilities. I was invited to work for them during the holidays or ride for them at events.

Work Placement

Goode's Grain and Fertiliser
Culcairn, NSW
  • While at my week with Goode's Grain and Fertilizer, I participated in various agricultural activities. This included mustering and yarding ewes for drenching and pregnancy testing, loading sheep onto a truck, and transporting them to another farm. Feeding sheep, filling up truck with grain, delivering grain to farmer, stick picking, and gaining some agronomy knowledge.
  • At the conclusion of my placement, I received feedback that commended my hard work, my communication, working with animals, and ability to ask questions.

Leadership Training

St. Paul's College
Albury, NSW
  • In 2024 I attended the Leadership Superpowers Day with School Captains from other Schools. This education day allowed me to learn more about myself and my leadership strengths. It also provided insight into effective leadership ways and how you can use your strengths to benefit others.
  • When I was selected into the Indigenous Female Youth Leadership program, we had the opportunity to participate in education programs which focused on goal setting, mental health, wellbeing, and leadership. This program supported and encouraged young females to become leaders within the community.
  • Throughout my time in the Murray Bushrangers Talent League Program, I have been involved in multiple education sessions focusing on grit, responsibility, and team leadership. These sessions have enabled me to gain various transferable skills and qualities.
