Scarlett Cavanough

Friendly and highly dependable student, considered hardworking, punctual and driven. I am keen to learn new things and driven to learn quickly. I have high communication skills with customers and co-workers. Through Distance Education, my available hours for shifts are very flexible.

I have participated in a variety of programs during my school years, including a STEM program and advanced Clarinet instrumental classes. With countless hours of studying and practice, I was given the opportunity to play in multiple advanced High school band concerts, promoting a sense of community. During the STEM program, we were able to visit QUT and learn many new things while improving our teamwork skills.

I am a member of the Australian Navy Cadets at Training Ship Moreton Bay, where I attend parades every Friday night. Being a part of the ANC has given me unique experiences that are quite different from other programs. I have attended multiple camps eachover several nights, where we were exposed to different programs and activities such as sailing, powerboating, basic first aid, and safety training. The camps emphasised teamwork, and over time I have learned how to communicate effectively with my shipmates and staff. Being a part of the ANC for over a year has already given me so many opportunities, from being promoted multiple times, and my current rank as a Leading Seaman.
