  • Spending most of my time scanning production jobs on the Linotype Hell Drum Scanner I now have an eye for colour and detail

  • I took over the network management and backing up of data to DAT tapes
  • The Rip was an Apogee series 3, which I became the administrator of and maintained and reviewed settings

  • Exposure had an XP4 proofer and one of my more difficult tasks included colour calibrating it to the client's presses.

  • I learned how to spot film, enlarge film and manually trap work
  • This began shaping the foundation for my tradecraft

  • For my 3rd and 4th years I was fortunate to be trained in the scanning area, supervised by a tradesman for the last 1.5 years
