Notable projects

Oxford Hotel Renovation ( $10m)

A large scale pub renovation in the heart of Bathurst- engaged by Mammoth Projects as a Site manager.

Project involved a very tight timeline and a vast amount of very high end finishes. Design issues & construction based on concept drawings due to the architectural nature of the job made this a very demanding, interesting & challenging project.

Some key features to note;

  • Carrying out a staged renovation whilst keeping the premises operating out of certain areas.
  • Tight deadlines in order to ensure stages could be open for certain local events & local business.
  • High end architectural details including; curved seating, curved & waved bricklaying, seamless transitions, hidden lighting details and much more.
  • High detail engineering and setout; with cantilevered, curved concrete bench seating and multiple brick arches.

Mars Petcare ($2m)

A two stage project which saw the construction of a new liquid waste facility for a large scale international factory.

This consisted essentially of large poured in situ liquid waste bunds, along with a new structural steel gantry & associated pipe work.

Some features of note;

Westpoint shopping centre ($9m)This project had to be very carefully scheduled and all on site activities planned to extreme accuracy to ensure zero disruption to the factories' day to day activities.
The gantry design & installation had to be carried out in conjunction with the factories' process specialists to ensure their needs were met.
Incredible engineering in less than ideal foundations called for piers up to 15m in depth, extremely specific jointing systems for all concourse areas along with lots of detailed reinforcement work- pile caps, pedestals, Bund walls & reinforcement matts installed with extreme accuracy to a 1% grade.
Level 1 earthworks ensured the job met all compaction & geotechnical requirements, but also added the extra challenge of coordination and scheduling around test results etc.

This shopping centre upgrade consisted of a large amount of bulk excavation, dincel walls, elevator shafts, a mixture of suspended slabs, structural steel, tilt panels, civil earthworks, high end fitout, custom childcare centre playgrounds and much more.
