My utmost goal in all educational settings is creating and maintaining positive student relationships. I strongly believe that all development, academically and emotionally, can only occur when students trust, respect and value their educators.
I have worked in a very broad range of roles across all aspects of schooling and education and during this time I have developed skills that enable me to understand each child's uniqueness and use that knowledge to cater my teaching to them.
Assisting with student learning in group,s but predominantly with students individually using prepared and structured programs in collaboration with classroom teachers. Notably working with students with behaviour issues to assist in transitioning to mainstream schooling routines.
Supervising OSHC and Vacation care programs. Collaborating with Director to facilitate the implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programming for large groups as well as individual children working within the ACECQA guidelines and My Time Our Place Curriculum.
Following lesson plans provided by absent educators to ensure smooth continuity in student learning and minimal disruptions to student routine and behaviour. Working closely and cooperatively with the Dominican teaching community to understand the varying teaching styles to provide relief teaching catered to specific class and student needs.
Providing emergency relief teaching to a large number of schools with absent teachers. Adapting teaching style to match the expectations and values of the schools and classrooms. Following lesson plans provided by these educators to ensure smooth continuity in student learning and minimal disruptions to student routine and behaviour.
Supervising Vacation care programs. Collaborating with staffto facilitate the implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programming for large groups. Supervising and managing large scale excursions.
