• Pre-weigh and compounding (12 months)
• Line-setting (3 years whilst studying trade course) Liquid and aerosol production
• Ensuring good quality products are accomplished within strict specifications to ensure QA (Quality Approved) are satisfied.
• Train employees on how to fix problems, correct mistakes and maximize productivity. This includes ongoing need to review and update standard operating procedures (SOP's)
• Supervise and direct team of maintenance fitters in high speed production environments.
• Apply troubleshooting and diagnostics abilities to assess repair and maintain as needed.
• Reduce costs by effectively managing inventory and improving productivity.
• Take on extra hours and shifts during busy periods to meet tight deadlines and company needs for customer satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies
• Keep records accurate and current by documenting, creating and updating setting sheets
• Achieve production targets by maintaining high productivity levels and communicating with team members regarding targets and goals.
• Involved in machine installations, retrofits and upgrades
• Design and modify pneumatic circuits to meet changing requirements, often helping to simplify to production processes
• Cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, to comply with TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) standards
• Calculating and providing forecasts of materials required to meet production demands, including taking bulk deliveries
• Involved in continual improvement programs to increase efficiencies,
• Monitor stock levels, ensuring reliable levels of spare parts are always on hand
• Opening and closing plant when required
• Involved in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) of custom built machinery, which included interstate travel.
• Welding repairs and fabrication, including purge welding
• Machining new/replacement parts as well as designing and creating new parts
• Repairs/rebuilds/modifications on all types of plant production equipment
• Documenting and recording shift report analysis
