Current Responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities of my current and previous roles include: 

  • Fostering collaboration and communication to create a positive, sustainable, and resilient health and safety culture
  • Developing and implementing organisational procedures related to infrastructure and operational health, safety, and wellness
  • Enhancing the visibility of mental wellbeing and psychosocial risks, as a facet of workplace health and safety in a corporate environment
  • Consulting with UQ’s senior leadership team and heads of organisational units, to ensure UQ’s risks are identified and managed in line with UQ’s Risk Appetite Statement
  • Engaging with various regulatory bodies and stakeholders
  • Incident investigation, workplace auditing, inspections, and the implementation of subsequent remedial actions
  • Designing and implementing safe systems of work, training, and instruction programs, and HSW system improvements
  • Managing large diverse teams, across multiple disciplines to achieve successful outcomes
