Work History

Snowboard Instructor

SkiCheck
Alpbach, Austria
01.2025 - 04.2025
  • After gaining my qualification I began to work as a Snowboard instructor while also helping out in the rental shop linked to the ski school I worked for when I wasn't teaching lessons, ensuring clients of my own and others were given and fitted with the correct equipment required for them to have an easy and smooth entry to their lessons.
  • As an instructor even if the student wasn't a beginner and knew how to snowboard I still always began with a warm up and assessed their ability on easier terrain before I felt confident taking them elsewhere as safety is a top priority.

Bartender/Night Manager

The Majestic Hotel
Tramore, Ireland
09.2024 - 11.2024
  • In this job, I would work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as a bartender, as I had plenty of experience working in bars already.
  • I also took on a role as a night porter for the hotel on Monday and Tuesday nights, from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • This part of my job entailed locking up the hotel, ensuring the bar was clean and closed down, tills tallied up and balanced, the hotel lobby vacuumed, door handles polished, aiding in room calls and questions from the guests, making them feel as comfortable as possible during their stay, while also checking in and out arrivals and departures from the hotel during these hours.

Activities Guide

Ardscoil na Mara Secondary school
Tramore, Ireland
06.2024 - 08.2024
  • Monitor with the Spanish students; this involved doing activities such as cycling, basketball, and soccer while being responsible for 10 to 20 students at a time alongside one or two other monitors.
  • It also helped that I hold a conversational level of Spanish.
  • This job would also overlap with days of the week when I wasn't working at the golf course restaurant.

Restaurant Server

Clubhouse Bistro, Tramore Golf Club
Tramore, Ireland
04.2024 - 07.2024
  • The roles required of me in this job included waiting on tables, topping up water jugs, running food from the kitchen to the tables, clearing and resetting after the customers left, making teas and coffees, and also taking payment at the till.
  • My main hours consist of me opening the restaurant by myself, and setting up at 10 a.m.

Service Station Attendant

Tommy Farrell's Service Station
Tramore, Ireland
09.2023 - 02.2024
  • In this job, I operated the tills as my primary role; other parts of this job required me to keep the shelves stocked with drinks, bread, crisps, and sweets.
  • Ensuring logs, coal, and gas cylinders were stocked up outside, refilling the two coffee machines, and helping customers by loading the heavy items into their vehicles.
  • My main shift was closing the garage at 11 PM and opening the garage again at 6 AM most weekend mornings.
  • The opening would involve putting out all of the outside air hoses, fire extinguishers, watering cans, and the spare gas cylinders, coal, and logs.
  • The closing shift involved removing all of these, as well as closing the till, tallying up the worksheets, sales, and profits for the day, and safely dropping all the money that was in the till to the safe in order to be sorted by the finance department.

Bartender/Server

One the Waterfront
Tramore, Ireland
03.2022 - 05.2023
  • Within this role, I gained valuable on-the-job training in bartending, which has left me capable of making a variety of alcoholic drinks to a high standard.
  • My other main duties were waiting tables, taking customers' orders, running food from the kitchen, clearing tables, and restocking the bar and shelves as needed.
  • Serving our Ukrainian refugee guests their food, and assisting them with anything they needed during their meal.
  • Sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and general tidy-up in preparation for the next day.

Barista/Cashier

Brooklyn Restaurant
Tramore, Ireland
05.2021 - 09.2021
  • My main role in Brooklyn was in the café.
  • I gained experience in till operations, money handling, customer service, barista skills, making 99 cones, taking customers' orders, keeping the café area clean and tidy, and restocking the fridges and shelves.
  • The working environment was very fast-paced; this has led to me becoming very good at working under pressure, with this being my first job at 17 years old.
