  • Reporting to the Managing Director with direct responsibility also to the Board my role encompasses overseeing Optimal Recruitment in addition to the newly established Optimal Workforce
  • During my tenure I have been responsible for the following
  • Management of 6 key staff spanning operations, sales, marketing, recruitment, and administration
  • Implementing a new tech-suite including a sophisticated Proposal solution and automated payroll solution
  • Implementing staff training and up-skilling initiatives including a formal mentoring and support program
  • Enhancing the annual staff performance review process and KPI's relevant to annual wage review

  • Reporting to the Company Director I project managed the latter stages of four (4) large residential renovation/construction projects through to sign off for Hayward Constructions who specialise in home renovation projects between $500K - $2.5M
  • During my contract I assisted with the acquisition of two (2) new renovation projects with a national health care firm which I was directly responsible for managing, post contract approval

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and three independent Board of Directors my role is multi-faceted due to the diverse array of internal and external stakeholder groups: this includes National Office internal staff, three Associations (EWPA, HRIA & TSHA), over 1,000 members, a technology committee and two external engineering consultants
  • During my tenure I have been responsible for the following
  • Management of 6 key staff spanning operations, training, marketing, sales, executive support, and administration
  • Implementing a new organisational chart including a formal mentoring and support program

  • Reporting to the Director/Owner I was the sole executive responsible for re-branding and re-positioning the Australian operations into new markets, with new technology, new people, and a new name
  • Originally established as Summit Workforce in 2015 the business achieved initial success through providing staff to the construction industry via former contacts of the Director
  • By 2019 the business had exhausted these contacts and revenue plateaued
  • I was asked initially to consult to Summit and after a few months of doing so post my departure from Kelly Services I agreed to accept the role of General Manager, and equity partner, of the re-branded Summit Recruitment
  • Whilst short-lived, it proved to be one of the most challenging, yet rewarding roles, of my career to date
  • This was largely due to the positive internal & external changes I was able to undertake (with autonomy) that has led to exponential growth and a legacy for the company and staff, many of whom I recruited from previous relationships
  • During my tenure I: Complete review of the internal and external company policies and procedures to ensure IR and WHS compliance to ISO standards
  • Implemented a completely new internal and external recruitment methodology
  • Conceptualised and rolled out the sales and marketing strategy which included social media, marketing/sales materials, sales training, and key performance indicators

  • During my time I reported to numerous executives but spent the last 8+ years reporting to the Managing Director for AU/NZ and the PERSOLKelly Board of Directors (Japan) from 2016 when PERSOL/Temp Holdings acquired the APAC business of Kelly Services
  • My role represented the highest revenue earnings of any division, within the APAC region, before the end of my 14-year tenure
  • My key responsibilities included: Executive Leadership Team (ELT) member – founder and implementer of AU/NZ business growth initiatives in line with APAC business objectives
  • Report to the Board and Managing Director (AU/NZ) on a quarterly basis
  • Responsible for greater than $110M revenue with an operating profit exceeding $4.3Mil (61.7% of overall Kelly Australia company target)
  • Managing expense base equivalent to less than 96% of gross revenue (before H/O expense)

Accomplishments

  • Staff retention of 67%, over 10 years. This included 7 managers (out of 12 I managed achieving greater than 5 years' service and a minimum of 2 internal promotions each during that time)
  • Designed, implemented, and executed the end-to-end business processes for Summit Recruitment including a new CRM/ATS, IR/WHS compliance, sales and marketing strategy, key performance indicators, social media profile, budgets and forecasting and the company rewards and recognition program
  • Designed and commissioned the recruitment industries first (and only to date) ‘Centre of Excellence'. A dedicated assessment, and future training facility, for logistics and trades clients enabling Kelly Services Australia to test and validate the skill set of all employees prior to deploying them to respective clients.
  • Successfully implemented the dedicated WHS team across Australia
  • Implemented KellySafe in conjunction with the Director – HR & Service Operations
  • Reduced Kelly Services Australia LTIFR from over 13 to less than 5 over a 3-year period
  • Reduced Kelly Services Australia insurance premium by over $1.7M because of implementing the KellySafe management system. (Irrespective of a 27% spike in revenue & 36% increase in employee headcount during the same period)
  • Established Kelly Services Australia Trades Division – which now represents 22% of the industrial business revenue. Up from just 3.6% in 2013.
  • Established Kelly Services Australia first official Government partnership with a Nationally recognised provider of job services (CoAct) which includes 2 dedicated Government employees residing in Kelly Services Australia offices. This has resulted in over 65 unemployed individuals gaining ongoing employment through a ‘mainstream' employer' in 2018 since inception. I envisage this number to exceed 200 by early 2019.
  • I was APAC Winner of the “Golden Circle Award' in 2010 for innovation. I have since won 'Leader of the Year Awards' in 2010/2012/2014/15. I then became a proud ambassador and judge for all future award winners as a ‘Platinum' Kelly Employee
