started rail career on the ground as a labourer on a tie gang for artc  where i worked my way up to a track machine, first a scarafier and then into a tie crane, in the first few years, with artc lossing the contract i transferred to john holland  and continued with the same guys with new gear, kobelco 7t excavators replacing tie cranes, inserting steel sleepers, having completed the resleepering program in 2018, i restructured to the construction team where i skilled myself in a front end loader until 2022 when made redundent which i took up an opportunity with howell rail which im currently working, operating mostly rubber tyre excavators,
