In may last year, my family was given the incredible opportunity to go into business with my previous employers from the pizza shop, and create a convenience store. It required a lot of hands on work and long hours but eventually, in August it was able to open. It has been an incredible experience being able to work closely with people I love and be able to develop very unique skills. Between working behind the scenes developing spreadsheets for stocktake and tracking orders, to talking with business representatives and building rapport, this business has taught me so much in building trusting relationships in short periods of time and for that I am very grateful.

During the end of 2021, my prior employers reached out to me and offered me employment at Riley's Pizza. I began before the shop opened, helping build the store from the ground up and travelling on multiple occasions to the sunshine coast to do training at a very well established pizza business. Over the past 2.5 years, I had worked my way into full-time employment and became a major asset in running the shop. My roles were to roll all the the doughs for the night, mix up new batches for the following day, proceed and ensure all stock is done for not only the night but for the coming days, set up the front counter and manage the funds across the till system, then working the night and mainly managing the proceedings of making the orders, however still stepping out the front when help was required. In this role I have attained a variety of skills such has precise time management, strong level of communication and an impressive initiative . All of these skills has overall enhanced my strong work ethic, reliability and love for tasks at hand.

During July 2023, my employers at Riley's Pizza began another business venture by opening up another store in Torquay. On top of responsibilities listed in my job description of Riley's Pizza, my nights changed into fully running and managing this store. I would enter before my shift started to ascertain stock levels, retrieve tubs, and make lists on everything the store would need. I would then proceed to Riley's Pizza and begin my jobs there. Once I had completed all dough related jobs and completed stock for both stores, I would go back down to Cj's Pizza to open and run the store until close. During this time I was the listed with not only upholding a high standard of both quality and service in the shop, but also tasked with training and supervising workers. The owners had given me a huge responsibility and I remained completely transparent with all proceedings, asking questions when looking for guidance when running this store. The main part I loved about this job was personally interacting with most of the customers, being able to provide exceptional service and happily greet everybody who walked in the door.

In 2017 I had the pleasure of changing my dojo and begin training at Bayside Martial arts. I had been training for over 10 years by the time 2018 rolled around and I was given the opportunity to begin instructing which I fell in love with. I found I was very natural when it came to teaching others and providing a very positive and encouraging environment. Eventually I was able to work towards teaching multiple classes by myself and developing a wide variety of skills. Becoming an instructor taught me great time-management skills, an ability for building rapport with others, focusing on their needs and wants towards a goal, self-discipline and respect for both myself and others.
