Throughout my employment history I thrive to complete any task given to me to the best of my ability regardless of the positions held. I have been in the meat processing industry for over 20 years. I started my career with Silver Fern Farms as a entry level laborer working my way up to become an A grade Butcher. Along the way gaining a great understanding of the whole process involved with meat export including, hygiene and food safety requirements, quality assurance practices, team work & health safety processes, procedures and policies. These experiences enabled me to take on extra responsibilities such as Health & Safety Representative and Emergency Response Team Member then entering into Managerial positions of Secondary Butchery Supervisor, which has been my role for the last 5 years.
After 20 years in the same industry I am ready to try something new. I've always been interested in the oil and gas field because I believe there are many opportunities to lead towards a successful new career. Because of this I have taken the initiative to complete BOSIET training, gained an offshore medical certificate and I believe all my previous training, life skills and experience will complement the oil and gas industry.
I am an active member of the community who loves to be outdoors. This passion of mine sees me as a keen surfer who belongs to the Patea Surfing Committee. I love nothing more than being in the water and encouraging others to do so. All in all, I'm your grounded New Zealand bloke who loves trying anything new and seeing what the world has to offer.
