First year completed foundational design projects

1 Architecture Studio: fundamentals of digital design

2 Architecture Studio: fundamentals of analogue design

This project focused on designing 3D physical models from materials like cardboard, wood, wooden sticks, and architecture craft trees, etc The model-making tools used were craft knives, crafting blades, glue, a measuring scaled ruler, a non-slip ruler, and a cutting mat, This project also focused on sketching and designing like an architect, such as using Illustrator, CAD, and Rhino, all of these types of softwares were used to design and show the different plans, sections, axonometric views, etc, digitally and also physically on a sketchbook

3 The other projects done were human-centered design

This focused on looking for any defects in the WSU 6 Hassal Street building that provided inconvenience for students and staff This project was all about making a report on all the defects found around the university and finding solutions as a student architect to help solve the issues

4 Completed Environmental Builidng Design

Used softwares like Archicad to design a building that has all the features of green eco-friendly design, green roofs, orientation of the building in summer and in winter to allow for optimum living space in all seasons and used glazing on windows This subject focused on giving me all the necessary skills and ideas when having to design as a student architect

5 Lastly, Completed residential building

Had to use math and calculations to get the result for example how long is the rafter, beams, getting the angle of something etc completed reports that needed calculations and ideas to builidng design
