Hello my name is Serena Silver,
I am a proud Aboriginal woman who was born and raised in Gunnedah, NSW, with a strong commitment to community engagement and leadership. As a former school captain at Gunnedah Public School in my younger years and in my High school years i participanted in the Gunnedah Girls Academy, I have cultivated valuable leadership and interpersonal skills. I was elected many things throughout my school years e.g. Athletics, cross country and cultural dances. I hold a Certificate II in Hairdressing from Gunnedah TAFE and am currently studying my Cert IV in Community Services. I did do a school based traineeship through maxima at ANZ bank but did not get to finish it. These experiences reflect my dedication to professional development and my passion for diverse fields. My experience as a Care Service Employee at McLean Care Mackella has equipped me with essential skills in personal service, decision-making and infection control, enabling me to provide compassionate care and support to clients. I am known for my strong work ethic, enthusiasm and ability to embrace new challenges with confidence. I am committed to fostering positive environments for both clients and colleagues, ensuring excellence in all aspects of my work.
