I am a highly motivated individual with both retail and administration experience. I thrive in fast paced environments and have experience working in both small and large teams. I take initiative and I am always looking at ways to improve my skills and expand my knowledge. I have previously worked in a leadership position at the IGA, managing a large team for over twelve months. For the past 1.5 years I have provided administrative support to the Maintenance Department on Hamilton Island, working closely with over 80 staff across 10 diverse teams. My role has involved coordinating workflows, supporting project delivery and ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of maintenance tasks.
During my time at maintenance I also took on a second job contract as maintenance coordinator. I was responsible for managing the on-call phone from 4:00 PM to 7:30 AM and responding to after hours maintenance calls. Assessing the urgency of each issue and determining whether immediate attendance by an on-call tradesperson is required. This includes dispatching the appropriate trades based on the nature of the job or advising callers to wait until business hours when appropriate to help manage costs effectively.
