I am married with six beautiful boys aged nine months to 18 years.
And am very interested in starting a career as a carer, support work, planner, or anything in the field where I am able to help others. I will do any and all courses, checks, and get any cards, vaccinations, and anything else to meet requirements.
I have worked in a variety of jobs in my younger years, I was a supervisor at the original silly solly's, then moved on and opened up The Warehouse, for the same company. I moved to Victoria, where I managed a clothing store called beaches and over saw 5 staff, on the Peninsula in Rosebud. When I moved back to Bundaberg, I started my family and in between worked as a barista at a coffee shop and motel, where I helped on and off for 15 years, while raising my children. Until I ended up having to take over The Coffee House and Motel and run it until it was sold as the owner, who was a close personal friend of mine, had a stroke and never recovered full function. I am now the enduring power of attorney for him. One of my boys suffers from ADHD and disassociation disorder and another Aspergers, so I have a lot of experience with calm communication, defusing episodes, aggravation, and outbursts... Also in the last few years I had with my grandparents, my grandfather suffered from Alzheimer's and my grandmother had diabetes and ended up getting bad ulcers that led to amputations of the toe, foot, bottom half of her leg and then other half of the leg. Until it spread through to her back and nothing more could be done.... In the last few years of their lives, I cared for them assisting in Brisbane trips to specialists, cleaning, socializing, wrapping wounds, medications, and cooking. I was my grandfather's hairdresser, bartender, nurse, cleaner, and on his very best days, his granddaughter.... All my boys but my baby Leo have grown now and are in high school, my eldest being freshly out of high school. I feel it is time to put myself on a path to start a career I can be passionate about. To help make people's lives better and let them live with joy and dignity. And the best they can with the hard cards they were dealt. I really hope you will consider me. Thank you for your time
Yours sincerely
