To gain experience in aged care I have volunteered on several occasions at an aged care facility Mercy Health, Dandenong. Not having a qualification stopped me from completing all tasks assigned, however I was still able to assist in feeding, hygiene, grooming etc: all ADLs included tasks. I also engaged with clients by creating involving and interactive games to keep their minds active and creative. I also assisted residents on regular walks around the facility.
