conduct first aid training courses in a variety of settings to a range of clients, including corporate clients, school students, community groups and other members of the public.

• Ensure families receive a quality child care service through the development and implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and guidelines.

• Ensure Family Day Care is well co-ordinated with other relevant services in the local area.

• Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the National Quality Standards.

• Maintain and implement Regulatory & Quality Frameworks – Early Years Learning Framework – EYLF, Victorian Early Years Learning Framework – VEYLF & the National Quality Framework – NQF.

• Provide leadership, motivate and encourage staff to perform their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.

• Develop an effective team, encouraging team participation in problem solving and developing improvement in operational practices

• Participate in the orientation, recruitment and selection of staff.

• Supervise, resource, support and train FDC Educators through home-visiting program.

• Ensure that the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in care are met.

Train educators day to day basis

• Assist in the maintenance of individual children’s records and journals to ensure all children’s interests and developmental needs are met. In concurrence with other educators ensure all records are kept up to date and available in the centre for families, educational leader, co-ordinator and others (including agencies).

• Work according to the Code of Ethics of the Early Childhood Australia.

• Advocate for children and families.

• Any other duties as specified by the Co-ordinator, room leaders and Educational leader.

• Have a working knowledge of current research and the implications to education and care.

• Create a safe, supportive, stimulating and educational environment for the children

• Form relationships with children which are comforting and nurturing

• Ensure that the children are safe and adequately supervised at all times.

• Assist with the implementation of daily routines.

• Collaborate with staff to ensure that the program is continually improving.

• Administer first aid or medication in compliance with procedures and policies.
