• Collecting contaminated equipments, instruments and supplies for sorting and decontamination as per AS/NZ standards.
• Scanning and recording all instruments when it is returned, to make sure it can be tracked .
• Disassembling of instruments and removing of any disposal items then sharp go to yellow bin.
• Putting used instruments in appropriate carriage for washing and manually cleaning supplies of contaminants and removing waste matter.
• Monitoring and recording the washer functioning well as per unit protocol and AS/NZ standards.
• Receiving all instruments in clean side and make sure the items is dried.
• Preparing for packing and decontaminated supplies for sterilistation.
• Monitoring and operating sterilisation equipment as per AS/NZ standards.
• Use correct manual handling technique while handling load as per unit standards.
• Testing and recording any issues or problems with the sterilisation equipment.
• Delivering all necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries, examination and medical procedures.
• Maintaining records of sterilisation procedures , sterilised items, equipment maintenance and supplies.
• Controlling the inventory ,recording Supplies and checking expiry date.
• Follow the strict aseptic and infection control measures while performing all procedures.
