• Worked very hard to improve procurement processes across all functions of Council to achieve value for money outcomes and focused on strategic procurement to achieve Council's corporate goals and address challenging market conditions.
• Played a key role in the extension of the Domestic Waste Contract that delivered a good financial outcome for Council and secured supply in a Sydney facility with severe capacity constraints. This was a very complex and technical matter and I assisted Council to ensure that it complied with its legislative requirements and achieved the best commercial outcome for the community. I managed all risks and managed all governance issues and emphasised the need to achieve a careful balance with practical commercial outcomes.
• Through effective relationship management, training and by leading a dynamic team, I have managed to transform procurement in to a likable function across the organisation. This year, I was nominated for a leadership award by our General Manager and also won employee of the year award in sustainability category.
• Effectively under my leadership procurement contributed to improved financial sustainability for Council over the past 5 years.
• Successfully delivered in excess of 20 procurement projects leading to value for money contracts for a number of NSW Local Government organisations. Received Eight (8) testimonials from customers.
• Directly delivered over $250,000 revenue for LGP Consulting by efficiently and effectively completing tenders, request for quotations, procurement reviews, procurement training and outplacement services.
