Examining blood morphologies of patients; perform blood group checking, antibody screening and qc using blood typing card as well as AHG card; prepare and load samples into Access and Au480 machine; perform QC control for Dxh 690T, coagulation machine as well as point of care machine which include LIAT and i-stat machine; perform a range of specimen reception services: Data entry, ID checking, facilitating workflow of blood, urine, faeces and histology specimens' reception according to their priority and specimen conditions and requirements

Project methodologies include generation of double guide plasmids; gene transformation and mini prep; enzyme digestion and sanger sequencing of gRNA; nucleofection of plasmid DNA into Hek cells & DNA Extraction followed by amplification using PCR; analyse gene editing effect of guide RNA by running the gel and further validate the deletion region through sanger sequencing
During the placement, I also obtained the skill of DNA extraction from gel electrophoresis, primer design and optimisation of PCR condition.

Brief project details: The impairment in cAMP and cGMP signalling leads to abnormality in platelet physiology in the presence of cardiovascular diseases. Project methodologies include utilization of mainly impedance aggregometry. Statistical analysis of data using pair and unpaired T-test.
