Greenfield mine site located at Balranald, NSW.
Balranald is a rutile-rich deposit in the Riverina district of south western New South Wales. Owing to its relative depth (approximately 60 metres below surface), Iluka has over several years assessed the potential to develop West Balranald via a novel, remotely operated, underground mining (UGM) technology. This technology enables access to ore bodies previously thought uneconomic, with marked reductions in both environmental disturbance and carbon intensity relative to traditional extraction techniques.

Infrastructure Engineering as a Technology team is a Design Authority and Execution arm of BHP which is responsible to maintain standards, ensure compliances to these standards and effect roadmap and strategy in delivery that will overall improve safety and production enhancements through reliable, secure and flexible technology infrastructure across all assets.
Expertise is leveraged to ensure projects comply with reference BHP Architecture, Standards and Blueprints, and maintain such to align to industry best practices to safeguards infrastructure.
Infrastructure Engineering provides a point of contact and accountability for asset Risk Owners, Technology and Asset delivery groups and operational support teams (Risk Controllers).

• Rail Protected Network (RPN) Uplift.
• RPN Cybersecurity Hardening.
• Rail Transmission System (RTS) redesign.
Responsibilities and duties performed:

Network Engineering – Execution.
• Personally delivered Network Design/Solution. Writing of HLD and LLD. Gaining change management authorisation. Configuration of network devices. Implementation of solution. Testing of solution and Handover to Operations.

Guidance/Direction
•Provide technical guidance, for vendors, skill sets, approach and methodology to items pertaining to technical delivery.
•Provide direction to technology blueprint standards and compliances including technical queries.
•If projects were required to capture any deviation from standards and subject to these deviations, I would make technical recommendations.
•Execution support to all asset and technology projects.
•Govern transition to support requirements.
•Support with requirements and HLD consultation as required.
