Offsider (Bolting Machine)

As a Moxy Operator, my primary responsibilities included:

• Maintenance and Inspections: Completing pre-start checks.
  Inspecting fluid levels and equipment for damage or wear.
  Reporting issues to mechanics and informing the shift boss.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to CPB’s safety protocols.
  Maintaining a speed limit of 10 km/h on-site.
  Ensuring responsible and safe driving practices.
• Communication: Coordinating tasks effectively with colleagues and the shift boss.
  Maintaining clear communication to ensure smooth operations.

After the cutting phase, I served as an offsider for the bolting machine. My responsibilities included:

• Assisting the Bolter Operator: Collaborating with the operator to prepare the work area.
  Handling materials required for operations.
• Material Handling: Managing and transporting materials such as bolts, plates, and mesh. Ensuring the machine was stocked for uninterrupted operations.
• Setting Up Equipment: Positioning and preparing the bolting machine for operations. Loading bolts into the rig and adjusting machine settings as necessary.
• Grouting: Mixing grout according to specified formulas.
  Ensuring proper grout application within installed bolts.
• Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization: Cleaning the bolting machine after use. Removing debris and organizing tools and materials. Following good housekeeping practices to maintain a tidy work environment.
