I have taught/coached casually at various different times and at various different venues since obtaining my Austswim certificate in 2002. My first teaching job was also my longest stint in this job. Starting as a teacher of infant aquatics I also taught people with special needs and adults over the five years of my employment at Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club. By the time I moved on after five years I had risen to the position of ‘head coach’ as the most senior instructor and coach of the elite squad. I had also been appointed as the regional coach for the Castlereagh Swimming Ass.

• Teach/coach the skills of swimming and help students improve performance; sometimes for the purposes of competing.

• Provide written and oral feedback to parents regarding students progress.

• Organise/attend swimming meets.
