Summary

I am a dedicated Pilates instructor certified in Mat and Reformer Pilates, with a strong foundation built on four years of consistent personal practice in boutique studios and two years of regular Reformer classes at World Gym. While I am relatively new to leading classes in a studio setting, I am committed to growth as an educator and eager to learn from experienced mentors to deepen my knowledge and refine my teaching techniques.

As a single mother, I transitioned from a career in Security Operations to pursue my passion for Pilates as my son begins school. This shift was catalyzed by my experiences at World Gym and my journey with Pilates, which transformed my health and confidence. I started at 106 kg and have maintained 62 kg, a testament to my dedication to wellness and the lifestyle I teach.

Although I am early in my professional teaching career, I bring a strong work ethic, empathy, and a client-centered approach. My goal is to help others feel better, move better, and become their best selves. If I can achieve this transformation, so can my clients—and I am committed to supporting them on their path.

STUDIO PILATES INTERNATIONAL

Anatomy Certification:

  • learnt anatomical terminology and how to apply it to pilates teaching;

- Skeletal system, including bone structure and function

- Joints and movement, including intervertebral joints, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hips, pelvis, knee, ankle, and ankle/foot joints

- Muscle structure, function and terminology

Matwork Certification:

  • Perfected 88 beginner to intermediate, including Joesph Pilates original Matwork exercises
  • Repertoire of 68 beginner-intermediate exercises with the use of props

Reformer Certification:

  • Gained an extensive repertoire of 120 beginner - intermediate exercises used on the reformer

In both Courses:

  • Learnt about spinal problems, posture, core stability, pilates for pregnancy, muscle recruitment / activation
  • Successfully learnt how to modify mat / reformer exercises with rehab clients and injuries to shoulder, hips, knees, and elbow

Accomplishments

  • 4 day of observation & practise pertaining to Matwork.
