Completed clinical rotations in adolescent, acute adult, and aged mental health inpatient units as part of the transition program

• Navigating and adapting to different behavioral challenges within different age groups.
• Providing support and utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques to manage distress among different age groups
• Administering medication and monitoring side effects and efficacy.
• Providing education to patients and their families about treatment options, medication, treatment options, and coping strategies
• Facilitating group therapy among young people
• Identifying, monitoring, and addressing potential risks to ensure safety of the clients and others
• Working in collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and psychologists to provide holistic care
• Advocate for patients’ needs and rights thus ensuring they get the support they need and have a say in their care.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate documentation
• Rotations in the adolescent, acute adult, and aged mental health units

• Facilitate objective, appropriate, and concise communication among health professionals
• Supporting enrolled nurses and supervising carers working in the care home
• Participating and engaging in family meetings to discuss progress and address any concerns
• Monitor Blood Glucose levels and ensure insulin is administered in a timely manner
• Appropriate handling of S8 and S4 medications.
• Administration of regular medication using the 6 rights of medication
• Attending to wounds as charted on the wound chart
