The various duties I carry out in my role as an emergency nurse include the following:

- Collecting blood samples/performing venepuncture

- IV cannulation

- Administering medication (IV/SC/IM/PO)

- Assisting doctors in emergency procedures/management of acutely unwell patients.

- Provision of wound care

- Performing head-to-toe assessments

- Responding critically to any acute deterioration of patients

The duties involved in my work as a practice nurse include the following: administering immunisations, ECG's, assistance with GP‘s in medical procedures, complex wound dressings, performing venesection and various forms of health assessments.

Casual nursing position, working across multiple departments within the hospital. Completed my graduate nursing year in the oncology & bone marrow transplant department and have remained employed here since 2013. In addition, my experience includes working in the hospitals day medical unit, adolescents ward and post operative wards.
