Work safely as a Senior Process Operator and crew 2IC in a diverse operations team to achieve safe, reliable, efficient, and smooth production of anhydrous ammonia (KBR process with purifier).
Continuously monitor all operations and processes to prevent and correct equipment malfunctions in the field, as well as in the control room on the Yokogawa DCS.
Monitor equipment and take actions in the event of process upsets or malfunctions, applying prompt critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in various processes, including steam reformation, shift conversion, CO2 removal (OASE/aMDEA), methanation, purification, synthesis conversion, refrigeration, etc.
Solely operate and manage utility services, including 22 MW steam turbine-driven power generation plants, inert gas (N2) generation units, 50 and 150 T/PH capacity gas-fueled boilers, a water treatment plant to produce desalinated water and demineralized water, and an effluent water treatment plant, keeping effluent within environmental licensing permits.
Operate various types and sizes of steam turbines, compressors, pumps, and Joules Thomson devices (cryogenic process).
Adhere to safety in the workplace. Do safety and housekeeping audits. Perform hazard observations, report unsafe conditions, and take initiative to reduce unsafe conditions, promoting and highlighting safe work practices.
Work according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Actively participate in problem solving, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
Apply and review Management of Change (MOC) related to process safety, cost reduction, and HSE.
Shut down and start up the plant efficiently and safely. Isolating plant or equipment, gas freeing atmosphere as per permit to work, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Writing new procedures and setting up guidelines for newly introduced operational activities.
Do risk assessments, JHA, step back 5x5, and gas test as required to ensure safe work practices.
Participate in risk analysis for high-risk activities.
Operate and control machines and equipment, with excellent communication between field and control room operations.
Operate (Start-up/Shut down): centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, various kinds of valves, motors, generators, compressors, etc.
