Daily roles include:

• Study electrical and architectural drawings, plan cable routes and bring forward any potential issues.
• Liaise with wholesalers to maintain adequate inventory levels, minimising downtime.
• Delegate roles, demonstrate expertise to increase team efficiency and convey knowledge of wiring standards to be completed.
• Work in with team members and other trades to complete tasks effectively and on schedule.
• Assist builders and clients on decision making over changes to original scope.
• Install and repair of electrical wiring, data, lighting fixtures, switchboards and switchgear.
• Diagnose electrical faults and rectify issues.
• Complete comprehensive testing of electrical and data systems to ensure safety standards are adhered to.

As a supervisor I learnt plenty of skills from performance monitoring to resolving customer complaints, though the skills I learnt in which I can take into any industry below are my strongest.

• Ability to unify team members through transparent communication, and trust building.
• Increase productivity through effective delegation and provide ongoing support for professional growth.
• Developing rapport with customers and suppliers promoting repeat sales and satisfaction.
• Guide and mentor junior team members to ensure work is completed to health and safety standards.
