co· 2017 - Current: Year 10, 11 and 12 Marine Science Coordinator: Collaborated with head of Department and fellow Marine Science teachers to develop quality curriculum aligned unit plans, assessment and engaging learning experiences
· 2017- Current: Y11 Marine Science Orpheus Island excursion coordinator. Plan, lead and coordinate the annual week long senior Marine Science trip to Orpheus Island with 40 students and 6 staff members, liaise with Orpheus Island Research Station staff, colleagues and external providers and manage a budget of $35000
· 2020: Co-developed the y11 Biology assessment to align more with the National Curriculum
· 2019: Recipient of $500 000 Innovation in Education Grant. I co-developed a collaborative partnership with James Cook University to provide an enrichment and real world context to STEM education via the JCU Classroom on the Reef interactive website
· 2018: Initiated a professional development program for Marine Science teachers at Trinity Bay State High School with assistance from scientists from JCU on producing 3D maps of the reef for use in student assessment
· 2018-2022: Science Academy teacher (extracurricular excellence programs)
· 2017: I initiated and facilitated with assistance from JCU, a series of professional development sessions for 10 teachers across various high schools in Cairns on using drones to map environments
· On going: Supervise and mentor pre-service teachers
- 2007 -2010: Senior Student council coordinator. Responsible for the election of the student captains and student council members. Development of student projects and fund raising activities and development of end of year Senior Student Council planning camp
