Having worked in the medical and caring industry for the past 16 years, I believe I have the desired skills to demonstrate safe, efficient and holistic care to a diverse range of patients, from all cultures, religions, and backgrounds.
I am skilled at supporting transports throughout medical facilities, inter-facility transfers, and community transfers, I have a wide range of knowledge regarding safe methods of patient ambulation, transfers, patient care reports, medical summaries and other documentation. I am very Patient-oriented and compassionate with strong attention to patient safety and care, and often complimented by other staff and patients.
I possess a positive and upbeat attitude, and I'm a great team player who's always ready to work alongside my colleagues, ask questions and continue learning everyday. Through various roles over the years, i have learned excellent team collaboration and communication skills and how to work autonomously. I'm committed to quality patient experiences, and continuously learning and consolidating practices.
Time off taken to travel to the UK between May 2009 & May 2012
During 2009 and 2012 i was lucky enough to Travel to the UK for 3 years. During this time I visited many countries and also worked to support my travels. My jobs consisted of Waitressing/Bar Staff, Nanny and Live In Carer.

I also had a strong desire since I was a child to work in a 3rd world country so while living in the UK I decided to volunteer in Ghana (West Africa). For 12 weeks on 2 separate occasions, I got to assist in building schools, teaching, distributing aid relief to flood ravaged areas, hanging out with kids in a local orphanage, working in a medical clinic and exploring the wonderful country. To this day i still maintain contact with some Ghanaians.

I believe being given the opportunity to travel and work allowed me to broaden my Horizons, and expand my knowledge of our world, it allowed me to appreciate diversity in such a profound way.
