With 6+ years of experience in the sector, as a trainee to centre director (centre licensed for 62 children). With extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework. Passionate about letting kids be kids and fostering their imagination through play based learning. Working with each child and their families to create respectful, reciprocal relationships; as well as working with fellow educators to scaffold children's interests, strengths and ideas in a fun, achievable and encouraging way.
As Centre Director and Nominated Supervisor, I was responsible in the daily running of the service.
- Ensuring relevant required documentation was up to date and stored/displayed correctly. Including the compliance of the laws and regulations, health and safety standards, and centre policies and procedures were adhered to.

As Educational Leader, I supported educators in understanding The Early Years Learning Framework and implementing it into everyday practices. This included but was not limited to;
- Regularly checking in with educators and offering guidance where possible to help navigate the framework.
- Overseeing each rooms documentation and curriculums/learning programs, ensuring each child obtains a planning cycle and ample opportunities of growth in their development.
- Encouraging families to get involved in their child's learning at the centre and communicating with them regarding their child's learning.
- Organised family nights for families to meet with their child's room leader to discuss their child's learning. As well as annual family Christmas parties, Mother's and Father's day events etc.
- Planning yearly incursions, beneficial to the children and interests within the centre while creating relationships with the community around us (incursions with local emergency services, visits from the local nursing home etc).
- Conducted tours to potential families and facilitated orientations to help them get to know the centre prior to their first day, helping them and their children feel safe and secure in the setting.
- Set up foyer displays with relevant information.
- Worked closely and collaboratively with the service proprietor and centre director in the daily running of the service. In the absence of the Centre Director, completed the above (centre director) tasks.
- Worked on the floor wherever needed, directly with the children and educators to best support the team.
- Welcomed and responded to parent feedback and ideas.
- Sent out weekly newsletters to families. Detailing whats happening in the service, any shifting of educators, availability of care etc.
- Helped prepare the service for Assessment and Rating.
- Supported, guided and educated children between the ages of 0-5 years old, at a developmentally appropriate level, following the approved learning framework (EYLF).
