Benowa State Primary School - 2 weeks in September, 2021.

  • Observed and actively participated in different roles within the classroom ranging from teacher assisting, student group-work and attendance of staff meetings. Attended a full two days of Professional Development. Experienced a range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds and how the school implements these into daily activities. Gained the perspective of working alongside a bigger team with a large sum of attending students.


Woongoolba State Primary School - 3 weeks in May 2023.

  • Explored the teaching experience by undertaking 10+ classes over the course of three weeks. These included Mathematics, Science, English, the Arts and Technology. Received positive and constructive feedback from mentor teachers to further enhance already established techniques and pedagogy used in the classroom. Focused heavily on behaviour management and gathered many useful strategies and behavioural systems. Worked with whole class and small group settings. Attended staff meetings each week and completed lunch duty several times a week. Experienced the qualities of an education team and the role each staff member plays to ensure every student receives a quality education.
