Passionate Teacher with experience developing and implementing diverse curriculums covering wide range of subjects. I consider myself skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and observation. Successful in helping students develop strong literacy, numeracy, social and learning skills.

I have developed the skills needed in teaching diverse subjects. I have developed a number of strategies to keep students on-task to facilitate effective learning. Developing successful relationships with students to meet individual student needs with warm, safe educational environments is a skill I find I am competent in.

  • I was given the role of music/drama teacher for a term and a half, and thoroughly enjoyed this role

Additional Information

I have previously been a private speech and drama teacher. I have a keen interest in music being able to play a number of instruments. Whilst employed as a teacher aide at Bowen State School I was able to prepare students for competition in local eisteddfods, both classes and individual students.

With a keen interest in the development of students through their relationship with parents, I joined with the social worker at Bowen State School to facilitate the Managing Young Children's Program. The program involved working with the parents and their child to develop more positive and meaningful relationships.
