Gardening and community service

  • Maintain my own garden, I like native plants and orchids, sitting in my garden and chilling out.
  • Playford Christmas Pageant committee [solely managed and run by Playford community Volunteers] that prepares an annual event of a Christmas Parade and markets. Also finding sponsorships or fundraising events to pay for it.
  • Rotary fundraising and supporting people who are affected by Domestic Violence in the community [including other Mental Health issues world wide] to assist in the delivery of free food to those that are doing it tuff.

  • As an Elected Member for City of Playford Council for the last 9 years, I have been privileged to work on various boards and committees such as:

    > Representative on Access & Social Inclusion Disability Group,
    > Representative on Council Development Assessment Panel,
    > Representative on NAWMA – Board [Northern Adelaide Waste Management Authority + Resident subcommittee],

    > Representative on Services Committee & Strategic Planning Committee.
  • As a Resident of Playford who is a community spirited person, I have been involved in the following capacities to engender Health and wellness within my community inclusively.
    > Playford Xmas Pageant Committee of which has included Treasurer and Chairmen 2020 - current,
    > Rotary Club of Elizabeth including President & Secretary, & Representative on Civic Events committee of Playford Council
    > Coz We Care – Volunteer supplying free food and clothing to those who are in need in Playford.
    > Guides SA in Trefoil Guild, Leader of Adults & Youth, Northern Light Theatre Company/Carry on Guides/Scout Shouts/Comedy Capers Scout Show/Adelaide Gang Show - in various administration positions, also Scout Cub Leader & member of the Scouts Northern Leaders Crew.
  • As of July 2023, I have been seconded to serve on the Board of the Playford Community Fund, supplying food, clothing and furniture to those in need in the North.
