Second Rotation - Home and Residential Division, Support at Home Policy Section

• Involved in liaising with state and territory representatives to gather information on Assistive Technology and Home Modifications for older Australians, in preparation for the Support at Home program - due to launch in July 2025.
• Assisting team with changing priorities, organisation of funding for the Support at Home program, collaborating with subject matter experts and collating research to inform this.

First Rotation - Health Workforce Division, Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) Programs Section

• Involved in the provision and governance of programs to support the training of GP registrars.
• Organised and contributed to meetings with stakeholders such as the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
• Responsible for secretariat duties and other general administrative tasks, including circulating meeting briefings internally; circulating agendas and action items to stakeholders; as well as the management of shared inboxes.
• Assisted with the supervision of stakeholder reporting and grant management, harnessing exceptional analytic and organisational skills.

• Collaborate with physicians to assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment while managing rapidly changing conditions.
• Advise patients and caregivers of proper wound management, and safe medication use.
• Educate patients in chronic disease management through care plans, allied health referrals, immunisations and lifestyle options.
• Assist physicians in performing minor procedures such as skin cancer removal, contraception insertion and administer medications via oral, IV, and intramuscular injections and monitor responses.

• Excellent communication skills and experience in mediating conflict in a calm manner.
• Strong multitasking capacity, with the ability to manage multiple competing tasks in a stressful environment.
• Used consultative sales techniques to understand customer needs and recommend relevant products and services. I also trained and supervised new employees to use these selling strategies and apply best practices.

• Labeled and prepared specimens for shipment to laboratory facilities in collaboration with pathology couriers, while also adhering to compliance standards for confidentiality, accuracy and safety.
• Trained in ECG services, COVID and respiratory collections. I was part of a team providing this valuable service during the height of the pandemic in a variety of clinical settings such as the Queanbeyan Drive-Through Testing Clinic and the Franklin GP clinic.

• Administer intramuscular vaccines at the AIS COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic and educate patients about the importance of vaccination against disease.
• Provide COVID-19 testing service at the Garran Walk-in Clinic and worked effectively under high-stress conditions, while also ensuring patient wellbeing.
• Utilized therapeutic communication techniques to facilitate patient's optimum level of wellness.

• Participated in team meetings alongside experienced nursing professionals to discuss patient progress, plan for care and learn new procedures.
• Participated in evidence-based project implementation, nursing competency development and nursing simulation activities.
