My hospitality career has taken me across the globe, I’ve had the pleasure to work with some amazingly talented individuals Back home in the UK, I’ve helped set up brand new venues, I’ve also added to already skilled teams and every time I do so I relish in the opportunity to be of service. I also enjoy taking on creative projects within the venues i work at, designing menus/illustrating and I recently won the competition to design the Fernet coin of Victoria Australia. I’ve been in Melbourne for a couple years now working for the same group and unfortunately the venue has closed down and I’m looking for a new venture and team to be a part of.
I spent my time in Bar Margaux educating staff on the bar for advanced/extensive cocktail knowledge as well as encouraging efficient work in all areas of bartending.
Over the course of the couple of years i also spent a considerable amount of time training staff on the steps of service and how to be consistent taking orders and the visual indicators that help understand what stage a table is at though out the guests dinning experience.

I pride myself on encouraging a team to get passionate about the product being sold, whether that means talking about the history of spirits/cocktails for bartending or understanding the care that goes into the food in the restaurant, I believe it to be a key thing that translates to the quality of service and enables growth for staff, with an opportunity to get nerdy
I enjoy working in an environment that likes to brings specials onto menus, having something new can make a service feel fresh and also helps spice up the spiel and upsell to add to the guests experience
I can handle tough situations with a soft touch and don’t stress the team whilst doing so
I believe in enabling the team to be able to accomplish any and all tasks necessary and help others to achieve that
