Customer Focused Work, ensuring every guest was happy but more importantly, safe.

My role as a ride operator was to make sure the ride or rides I was operating for the day were running accordingly by testing our equipment, harnesses, and trains in the morning before the park opens. When guests arrive at the station, it is my responsibility to ensure that guests meet the requirements for the ride given from the manufacturer whilst giving clear and loud instructions to the guests. After guests board the attraction, I had to make sure everyone's harnesses and seatbelts were locked properly by enforcing the techniques we were trained to use. After everyone has been checked, I had to dispatch the attraction, ensuring everything's clear to go.

As a ride operator, I have learned how to work efficiently under high stress in a fast-paced environment. I have learned how to appropriately deal with upset or angry guests by learning how to excel at guest relations over time. I've learned effective communication on a busy 2-way radio channel, I have also learned how to collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of all attractions.

Working in a pizza shop in Coolangatta it was my responsibility to do several tasks, every night would be a different set of tasks such as, making pizza dough, cutting up the toppings, following specific order requests, cleaning dishes/surfaces, delivering pizzas on an electric push bike.
